Welcome to the website of Scoil Bhríde, Milltown. I hope you enjoy your visit and I invite you to explore the many aspects of school life with us.
Our school, the ‘new school’ was built in 1981, with an extension added in 2009. This September 2021, we have 209 pupils on roll, with 8 mainstream classes from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. We have a dedicated and talented staff, with 1 administrative principal, 8 class teachers, 2 Special Educational Needs teachers, 2 Special Needs Assistants, 1 secretary, 1 part-time caretaker and 1 cleaner.
Relationships are essential to us in Scoil Bhríde and we aim to provide a safe, engaging and inspiring environment for all. We have forged very strong links both within our school and in the wider community. Our Board of Management play a fundamental part in the effective running of our school, while our Parents Association play an integral role in supporting our school and its many pupils.
Our pupils engage in a varied and modern curriculum, keeping the fine tradition of education alive in Scoil Bhríde. We also relish the opportunity to take part in many extra-curricular activities from gardening to quizzes, charity work, choirs, our love of all sporting moments and so much more.
As a school community, we work hard to promote a positive atmosphere, where a pupil’s wellbeing is placed at the core. We also strive and constantly challenge each pupil to meet their full potential.
We are very proud of our school, for as our school anthem states
– ‘For it’s here we love and here that we belong’.
Slán is beannacht,
John Goff.
