We had a really special school community event with the official opening of the pitch, followed by the 5K Fun Run on October 13th. We were truly overwhelmed by the kindness and support shown towards our pupils and school, there are so many people to thank for helping to make the day such a success.
Our thanks to the members of our Board of Management, our staff, our pupils and their families. Thank you to our two pupils who helped to cut the ribbon on the multi-surface. Our thanks to Lisa Keogh and her team in JustRunsEvents. Thank you to everyone who monitored the safety of our runners and walkers on the day itself – our stewards, lead cars, motorbikers, medic and to Milltown GAA for offering car parking facilities. Thank you to the registration team, the start/ end line team, the team overseeing the teas and coffees and everyone who donated goodies/ treats/ buns.
Without doubt, thank you to the 322 participants who signed up and the many who supported in so many other ways. It is also important to note the good wishes and kindness shown by some of our families who couldn’t join us on the day itself.
While we had to brave the weather, nothing could dampen the spirit shown by young and old alike on the day and the positive care of each other on the route was simply heart warming. It was a day to look back on with gratitude and pride, what a wonderful school community we have in Scoil Bhríde, Milltown. Please see below some photos from the fantastic day, thank you to everyone involved.
